A page for current Play Mountain Place families, with details behind the password.

Two children sit on tree branches, one wearing a pirate hat and holding a toy sword while the other in a striped shirt looks on.

Parents

The parent pages sit behind a password, so current families can read school news and updates in one place. If you do not have the password, contact the office at (323) 870-4381 or email info@playmountain.org. To mark our 75th anniversary, the school has launched two fundraising efforts that reflect and sustain what matters most.

What this looks like in practice

Parent education here is for enrolled families. It is password-protected, so contact the office at (323) 870-4381 or email info@playmountain.org if you need access. Through the year, sessions look at how children play, settle disputes and take on work at their own pace. You see the same children, the same teachers, the same rooms your child knows.

That consistency is what parents notice at home. A child who has practiced naming a feeling at school starts naming it at the dinner table. A child who has learned to ask for a turn stops grabbing. You spend less energy on punishments and more on listening, and small problems get talked through before they grow.

Five young children stand in a row on a wet playground surface, holding umbrellas or raising their arms, in front of a metal climbing structure.
